From the moment the names headlining the most exclusive event was announced people knew it was going to be a party not to be messed. Miller Genuine Draft is known for their exclusive, fresh and hip parties . Miller’s South African parties and events like Kendrick Lamar’s  concert at the beginning of the year are a few of the exciting events the beverage company has hosted. Naturally when they announced an Africa tour. A buzz around it spread and Miller definitely knows how to market an event  uniquely  to create the right amount of curiosity.

Zimbabwean Ray Dizz won the Miller Zimbabwe Dj SoundClash  Challenge which was followed by  posters which popped up on social media advertising the grande Sound Clash which would see Khuli Chana, Dj Fresh and Euphonik headlining. Marketing on these platforms  had limited info on  tickets, guetslist and time. Naturally it created intrigue which was further fuelled by the headlining power  acts confirmation that the show was legit. Zimbabweans know oh too well about acts that never show up. The buzz only increased by  the online guestlist registration on the MGDA website which was necesarry to get more information and an invite to the exclusive Sound Clash event. Miller played on this tag line, “ Tickets That Money Cant Buy”. The online community was buzzin with how to get onto the list and more importantly the time and if it really would be a free event where money didnt guarantee you entry?

The week of the event arrived and  people were still curious as to how the guest list worked. Who was invited? Where was this party. As the week  progressed more info trickled out. The venue was set at the elegant glass house  at the Borrowdale Racecourse . However the exclusivity and minimal details around the event still surrounded the event on the day.  An email or text  was sent to registered  event goers with info stating that only the first 700 people would make the  guestlist. Which only made people more curious if they were part of the first 700. While some people received invites and confirmation others were not so sure. The time and guestlist mystery further caused interest and intrigue. Who was going to get in and would it really be a free event with some of South Africa’s biggest names headlining. Could it be so, “ Was it really tickets that money can not buy??” Time would tell…
