Cue in Justin Timberlake’s “Suit and Tie” because this past Saturday, Harare definitely got all cleaned up!!Saturday 31st of May, Johnnie Walker hosted the Black Excellence party at rustic venue, The Grain Lounge in Newlands. The sophisticated party kicked off at 7pm at the unique grungy venue. The night was definitely attended by the Northern suburbs regulars and personalities. The cocktail party was an invite only affair. Everyone dressed to the tee and mostly in black as that was the dress code. Although some opted to be more daring wearing alternative colours. Nevertheless, people were very chic in their formal and sleek looks. It definitely was very exclusive and a great sexy and classy way to end MAY and kick off the new month. It was definitely a suit and tie affair!!
The night had a very mature and grown feel to it. When I arrived, T bass was on the deck playing those soulful beats with a mixture of house and hip hop. Reverb 7 also played some great house music at the chic cocktail. While I was there for a brief moment, I definitely took in the stylish atmosphere and hot tracks.

It was a great way to start the night at the rustic unique venue and network with other guests. While I left early due to other commitments, more entertainment later in the night was also provided by Showtime Records and the night proved to be a sleek and sophisticated success. Some of the people who attended the event were Tatea Da Mc, Simba Tagz, Tina Masawi and Vanessa. We look forward to more mature and exclusive Johnnie Walker events that bring a refined and classy feel to Harare Nightlife.
