Harare’s finest bar and cocktail lounge, Pariah State illustrated what innovation, determination and quality can produce. The trendy bar set up a stunning bar at this year’s HIFA and definitely switched on with the Arts. The newly opened bar based in Avondale undeniably added an extra fun and sophisticated touch to the renowned festival.

From the moment the festival kicked off to its last few moments, Pariah State positioned itself as the must be chill spot with an infectious energy and vibe. The show stopping set up in cooperated several Afro -Cosmopolitan elements. The first eye catching features was definitely the locally produced artwork that hung beautifully around the impressive structures. The smart use of space, the urban atmosphere, the lighting, the use of colours especial white and red together with the modern furniture illustrated the efficient and applause worthy design process. What is definitely commendable is Pariah State’s constant dedication to providing unique and pan-African experiences to their cliental.

The innovative Pariah team made use of the quiet entertainment gaps in the Coke Green by jamming some hot beats to keep the festive vibe going. The groovy atmosphere never died and definitely kept the festive momentum going. The talented Dj Naida is one of the dj acts that rocked the Pariah bar. The bar made such an impression that weeks after the festival, people are still raving about the Pariah State HIFA bar. The evenings definitely saw the highest numbers of festive goers in the bar. At one point I remember security having to control the heavy influx of people. The venue hosted some of Zimbabwe’s favourite personalities and musicians. The bar lived up to its trendy reputation and undeniably positioned itself as thee place to be. Adding on, I definitely think the outside air together with great ambiance provided to be a fresh and creative way to socialise and mingle at the festival. This fantastic fusion of energies made it a highlight of the festival.
While I never had the opportunity during the week to grab a bite of their food. The drink prices were fair and as usual the bar tenders were friendly and efficient. I must say Pariah State is definitely doing something right. I love the cosmopolitan Pan-African vibe the venue always has. I feel a HIFA inspired outside bar is needed for summer later in the year.my campaign for that starts now…it was such a great vibe. While HIFA may be over…Pariah State certainly isn’t slowing down and have several plans up their sleeves. We cannot wait to party like its 1980 with our favourite lounge and bar…the trendy Pariah State.
