Sticking to its core essence and stylish blend , Remy Martin Zimbabwe is adding a sophisticated and trendy vibe through their events and trendy cognacs to Zimbabwean nightlife.  The popular champagne cognac is officially distributed by Doltek. Known for their exclusive and intimate events, Remy Martin Zimbabwe recently hosted an acoustic night at the popular, Pabloz VIP in February 2016. Living up to its reputation (their 2015 event at the Venue was every bit of luxury ) the event was filled with a magnificent atmosphere.

We welcomed the night with beautiful smiles from the hosts as the staircase led to  stylish VIP suite at Pabloz. In true VIP style, Remy Martin Zimbabwe roped VIP Hosting to do the decor. The ambiance and decor lived to the brands opulence and style. Making use of bold red roses, dim but warm lighting, gold candelabras and subtle branded cushions on the leather couches.  To go with the chic decor, guests ditched the jeans for a more polished look  of  cocktail dresses, blazers, and a few bowties.

Adding to the vibe was Fungai Nengare who had his band with him jamming soulful melodic beats as guest sipped on the French-crafted cognac and celebrated the night of style and life. Guests were treated to complimentary drinks with a cocktail menu inspired by the champagne cognac.

These delicious cocktails lead by a mixologist who I hear travelled specifically to Zimbabwe to offer unique blends and cocktails using Remy martins VSOP. A personal favourite was the aphrodisiac cocktails, although after 2 became a little too sweet for me. So I opted for Remy on the rocks and what a pleasant surprise. The beautiful blends came through and not in an overpowering way.  To enjoy the aromas and flavours having Remy Martin VSOP chilled on some ice is a lovely to enjoy this exceptional spirit.

I had the opportunity to sit down with Doltek Marketing Executive Rosey Chichaya who shared her thoughts on the brand and what more we can expect from the Remy Martin. Rosey adds, “Remy Martin is a luxurious brand and is all about an amazing lifestyle. It is about enjoying life to fullest with many different experiences”.

The brand’s philosophy is not just where we ended the conversation but we also discussed the night’s decor. Rosey added, “The inspiration for the event was the actually the  bottles of the popular champagne cognac which influenced the colours and pieces uses”.  The event also allowed for guests to experience the unique and trendy ways to consume Remy Martin ranging from cranberry fused cocktails ,to tropical blended mixes or simply neat chilled or warm.

 The night was also filled with canapés and treats as they did at their 2015 event at the Venue. What was superb was that as a halaal friendly eater, the hostess provided me with my own platter of canapés which were halaal.  The night ended with the friendly Reverb  7 who took to the decks for the perfect finish  to a night of celebrating life.

While the Zimbabwean urban market is known for its love for beer, wine and whiskey. Champagne cognac is the trendy beverage in the market with a growing appreciation. The brand ethos has been able to attract trendy , sophisticated and creative appreciators experiencing life to the fullest. This drink is not just for the stylish drinker but also for those who love good company with a versatile spirit.
